On Dad’s first visit to NZ we toured the South Island. Stopping in Wanaka, we’d noticed there was wine tasting at a local winery on the way to the campsite. Dad & I sauntered over the hill & duly tasted said wine. Dad decided to buy one bottle of the red, & we left. As we made our way back to the camp Dad said: “ That’s the most expensive bottle of wine I’ve ever purchased!”. At NZ$69 it was definitely up there & we chuckled together … needless to say we drank it with a very nice piece of steak!
